Actually as I was currently scanning the questions before getting to ready to answer them, I had two animes at the top of my mind as soon as I read this one. The two are Angel Beats and Skip Beat! Funny, I only notice just now that my top two had the word ‘beats’ on the anime title. If you’re asking why I only have one answer to that—“Beats me” XD. But since the question is begging for me to answer my favorite thus far, I’d have to say that it is Skip Beat! Not only was the story exciting (a girl trying to get even with the guy who abandoned her as soon as he had gotten what he wants), the artwork is pretty decent too. The characters are absolutely adorable, the lines are witty, the setting is different from the normal, over-used high school which I honestly have to say is already tiring to watch. But aside from all of that, what I really wanted and got me hooked with this anime is the message being portrayed that while to get revenge is good it would never replaced passion. In fact, as the story progresses revenge is given a backseat as Kyoko (the main character’s name) tries to achieve her dream of being an actress not because she wanted to be on par to Sho but because she had started to love acting.
